Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned structural engineer to advance the Lunar Core Components Heat Transfer hardware. You will interpret loads, perform analyses, and guide design decisions for radiators, cold plates, and heat exchangers used on lunar vehicles.

Ideal candidates bring a BS in engineering with 6+ years in aerospace structural design, FEA experience (Ansys/Nastran), and strong GD&T knowledge. Join a mission-driven team advancing safe human spaceflight.

Qualifications

Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering and 6+ years of related experience.
Experience in structural design of metallic components and assemblies.
Familiarity with aerospace sizing methods and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

Interpret, decompose, and derive structural loads and requirements for secondary structures and interfacing hardware.
Lead trade studies to inform structural integrity of component and assembly designs.
Design, analysis, development, and testing of secondary structures including additively manufactured parts and composites.
Collaborate with thermal engineers to ensure structurally sound components.
Create 3D models, detail drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents.
Provide on-site manufacturing support and travel as needed.
Participate in subsystem structural verification test planning and data analysis.
Coordinate with material and supplier teams to ensure manufacturing readiness.
