Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned Structures Engineer to perform structural analysis on Lunar Core Components (radiators, cold plates, heat exchangers) and guide design improvements for flight-qualified hardware. You will collaborate with thermal teams and spacecraft programs to mature designs from CAD to flight hardware.

The role requires strong fundamentals in structural design, analysis, and manufacturing techniques, with significant experience on launch vehicles or spacecraft and leadership

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering required; 6+ years related experience preferred.
• Experience on launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft or similar.
• Strong fundamentals in structural design and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and derive structural loads for secondary structures.
• Lead trade studies on structural integrity and configuration.
• Design, analyze, develop and test secondary structures including composites and metals.
• Collaborate with thermal engineers to ensure thermally sound components.
• Create 3D models and detailing for structural analysis and design.
• Coordinate with subsystem teams on structural interfaces.
• Provide on-site manufacturing support and travel as needed.
• Mentor junior engineers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
