Job summary
Blue Origin in Washington is seeking an experienced structural engineer to lead the design of primary and secondary structures for aerospace hardware. You will drive configuration, interfaces, and load paths from concept through production, balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost.
The role requires 8+ years in aerospace structures, strong CAD skills (Creo) and familiarity with GD&T, Windchill, and integration with materials, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver world-class
Qualifications
- B.S. in engineering required.
- 8+ years in aerospace/spacecraft structures.
- Strong CAD design and integration skills.
- Familiar with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
Responsibilities
- Lead primary and secondary structures design.
- Define overall structural configuration and interfaces.
- Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, assemblies, and ICDs.
- Support design maturation and trade studies.
- Balance performance, producibility, and cost.
- Collaborate with materials, manufacturing and quality teams.
- Drive design maturity from concept to production.
- Ensure designs meet structural, thermal, and manufacturing requirements.
