Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Senior Registered Structural Engineer to support Hydropower and Hydraulic Structures. You’ll operate as a senior engineer within our Structural Services Team, delivering complex designs and leading multidisciplinary projects.

The role involves site inspections, dam safety evaluations, team supervision, and coordination across US and overseas offices, with travel up to 20% and construction values up to $200M. A strong ABET-backed background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science from an ABET accredited Structural or Civil program.
• Professional registration in at least one state.
• Minimum 11 years of related structural design experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR) may apply.

Responsabilités

• Execute complex structural analysis for Hydropower and Hydraulic Structures.
• Perform site inspections and recommend remediation of aging infrastructure.
• Serve as SME during FERC Part 12d dam safety assessments and analyses.
• Collaborate with process and systems engineers on multidisciplinary design projects.
• Supervise engineers and technicians in drawings, calculations and specifications (US and overseas).
• Occasional travel to client sites up to 20%.
• Manage design fee estimates, budgets, schedules, and changes per QC requirements.
• Lead projects with construction values up to $200M.
• Provide guidance on design guides, standards, and codes; update engineering standards.
• Support continuous improvement and identify training needs.
