Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Hydropower technical specialist to lead engineering analyses and guide staff on hydropower projects. The role requires applying advanced engineering techniques, developing, validating, and presenting outputs, and supervising team members.

The position involves working on hybrid or flexible schedules after initial 90 days and contributing to client relations, quality assurance, and project delivery across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR).

Responsibilities

Continues developing knowledge and provides guidance on design guides, standards, systems, and codes.
Prepares complex engineering deliverables for Hydropower projects and manages data collection.
Oversees budget, schedule, and quality; delegates tasks to junior staff as appropriate.
Assists with identifying client interests and supports business development.
Mentors lower-level professionals and contributes to knowledge management.
