Job summary
Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an experienced Senior Registered Structural Engineer to support hydraulic structures and hydropower projects in our Structural Services Team. The role involves leading complex analyses, site assessments, and dam safety evaluations, with responsibility for project delivery and mentorship across regional offices.
You will collaborate with cross-functional engineers on multidisciplinary designs, manage resources, and travel up to 20% as needed while upholding B&V
Qualifications
- Bachelor or higher in ABET-accredited Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Professional registration with ability to obtain additional licenses.
- 11+ years of related structural design experience including steel and reinforced concrete.
- Pre-employment checks may be required.
Responsibilities
- Execute complex structural analysis and prepare sketches for Hydropower and Hydraulic Structures.
- Perform site inspections and develop remediation recommendations.
- Lead SME activities for dam safety evaluations under FERC Part 12d.
- Collaborate with process and systems engineers on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Supervise engineers and technicians across US and overseas offices; lead large production teams.
