Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer for its Data Center Infrastructure team. This role spans from early design to factory integration, with emphasis on scalable, manufacturable structural solutions for hyperscale programs.

The position supports remote or Austin, TX locations with up to 30% travel (domestic/international). You will lead gravity, seismic, and vibration analyses and mentor engineers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Eng with emphasis on structural design.
• 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience in industrial facilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with modular construction or factory-built data center infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and analysis for data center modules, frames, racks, and supports.
• Perform gravity, wind, seismic, and vibration analyses per code requirements (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI).
• Develop DFMEA and risk mitigation for structural systems across programs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, facility planning, and BIM teams to ensure constructability.
• Review drawings, welds, and material specs for MDCs, HAC systems, and skids.
