Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer for its Data Center Infrastructure team. You will lead structural design and analysis of data-center modules, frames, racks, and related support structures, ensuring code compliance and manufacturability.

You will collaborate across BIM, MEP, and manufacturing teams, apply SAP2000/ETABS, and manage DFMA considerations, with up to 30% travel domestically and internationally. A PE license and 8+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience with leadership of complex structural systems in high-availability facilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with modular construction, factory-built data center infrastructure, or similar programs preferred.
• Familiarity with hyperscale or colocation data center programs and platform-based delivery models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design & analysis of data center modules, frames, racks, and support structures.
• Perform gravity, wind, seismic, and vibration analysis in accordance with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI.
• Develop and maintain DFMEA documentation for structural risks across product families.
• Collaborate with BIM/Revit teams to ensure integrated, clash-free models and maintain LOD standards.
• Support factory integration, DFx, and pre-fabrication workflows for repeatable designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews across the team.
