Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Architect to lead data center infrastructure design across power, cooling, and IT rack implementations. Remote or Austin-based, travel 20-30% as needed to support global clients and projects.

You will drive technical roadmaps, evaluate technologies, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product, hardware, cloud, and security teams to ensure scalable, compliant, and high-performance infrastructure solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with liquid cooling technologies (direct-to-chip, immersion).
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency metrics (PUE, WUE).
• Experience with containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of data center energy efficiency and sustainability practices.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Able to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports and briefs.

Responsibilities

• Provide early-stage customer engagement to shape requirements and improve win probability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies in power distribution, battery systems, HVAC, and liquid cooling.
• Collaborate to develop manufacturable scalable power and cooling solutions for data centers.
• Align infrastructure capabilities with evolving compute and storage requirements.
• Analyze thermal and electrical performance data to optimize energy efficiency and reliability.
• Design and implement IT racks with integrated liquid cooling and sensors.
• Participate in projects from RFP through mass production including vendor selection.
• Create CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs for manufacturing.
• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of systems.
• Develop infrastructure documentation and best practices.
• Lead end-to-end data center infrastructure architecture documentation.
