Job summary

Jabil Circuit Inc is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to lead the structural integrity of data center products and manufacturing facilities. The role spans design through deployment, aligning with hyperscale delivery models.

With deep expertise in structural steel, concrete, seismic analysis, and DFMA, you will collaborate across BIM, MEP, and production teams to deliver safe, scalable, and production-ready solutions. This role offers remote or Austin, TX work options and up to 30% travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (structural emphasis).
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience, preferably in data centers or high-availability facilities.
Experience producing stamped engineering calculations and coordinating AHJ approvals.
Experience with modular construction and factory-built data center infrastructure is preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Lead structural design and analysis for data center modules, frames, racks, and support structures.
Perform gravity, wind, seismic, and vibration analysis per IBC/ASCE 7/AISC/ACI and local codes.
Collaborate with BIM, MEFP, and production teams to deliver compliant, manufacturable designs.
Support factory integration, DFMA, and modular construction workflows.
Mentor engineers and lead design reviews.
