Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing team. You will work on data center-related projects, performing structural analyses, developing models, and calculating member designs and foundations.
The role includes collaboration with internal teams across Jacobs offices and potential travel to client sites. The ideal candidate has an engineering degree, 8+ years of structural experience, and a PE license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer (US) with ability to become registered in additional states.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D).
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (RISA or STAAD).
- Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other design codes.
- Knowledge of Building Codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office including MS Teams.
- Ability to travel 10–20% to client sites.
Responsibilities
- Performing a variety of analysis.
- Creating computer models for structures.
- Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules.
