Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer within our Advanced Manufacturing team, focusing on Data Center projects across the U.S. The role involves performing structural analyses, creating models, and coordinating designs with Jacobs offices globally.

8+ years of experience, PE licensure, and strong CAD/structural software skills are required. We offer a hybrid work policy with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states
• Knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry relevant design code and standards
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes
• Proficiency with MS Office suite software including MS Teams for remote coordination
• Ability for travel to various client’s sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel)
• Master of Science in Engineering
• Experience with industrial metals projects including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects
• Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of analysis
• Creating computer models for structures
• Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules, etc.
