Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Advanced Manufacturing team for data center projects and related capital work. You will perform multiple structural analyses, build computer models, and prepare calculations for member designs and foundations.

You’ll coordinate with Jacobs offices across the US and abroad to deliver high-quality results. We value deep engineering expertise, strong CAD/analysis software skills, and the ability to lead design tasks while traveling up to

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes (ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, etc.).
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams for remote coordination.
• Ability to travel to various client’s sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel).
• Ideally, Master of Science in Engineering and experience with heavy industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of analysis for structural projects.
• Creating computer models for structures.
• Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs, and schedule support.
• Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
• Liaise with internal professionals and other design departments for project delivery.
