Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for the Advanced Manufacturing team to work on Data Center projects, including new builds, retrofits, and colocations. You will perform structural analyses and create computer models, coordinating with global Jacobs offices.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of structural experience and PE registration, with CAD and analysis software proficiency. Hybrid work model and global collaboration are offered, with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite software including MS Teams for remote coordination.
• Ability for travel to various client’s sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel).
• Master of Science in Engineering.
• Experience with industrial metals projects including casting and rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects.
• Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of analysis.
• Creating computer models for structures.
• Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules, etc.
• Liaising with internal professionals and design departments for project delivery and coordinating designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
