Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer within the Advanced Manufacturing team to work on Data Center projects, including new builds and retrofits. The role involves performing structural analyses, creating models, and coordinating designs across Jacobs offices globally.

8+ years of experience and a PE license are expected, with travel of about 10–20%. You’ll join a diverse team and have opportunities to grow technically and professionally while contributing to high-impact capital

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• 8+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become registered in additional states.
• Proficiency with CAD software: AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software: RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge of Building Codes and design standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, etc).
• MS Office and MS Teams for remote coordination.
• Travel to client sites ~10–20%.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of structural engineering analyses and calculations.
• Create computer models for structures and perform member designs.
• Prepare material take-offs for estimating and assist with project schedules.
• Coordinate designs with Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
• Lead and contribute to capital projects within a collaborative team.
