Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Structural Engineer to perform civil/structural design across projects. You will develop layouts, calculations, and sketches, coordinating with drafting and other disciplines to ensure timely delivery. The ideal candidate has a B.S./M.S.

in civil engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of IBC/ASCE/AISC/ACI and proficiency in STAAD Pro, RAM, RISA, AutoCAD, and Revit. PE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• PE registration is highly preferred but not required.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant industrial civil/structural experience.
• Knowledge of IBC and ASCE/AISC/ACI standards.
• Proficient with STAAD Pro, RISA, RAM Structural System, AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or Revit.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform design of civil/structural assignments per codes and standards.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce preliminary designs and material take-offs for estimates.
• Create detailed design calculations and sketches.
• Check calculations for accuracy and conformance with specs.
• Assist drafting team in resolving layout and detailing issues.
• Lead small to medium teams coordinating civil/structural work.
• Review vendor and other discipline drawings for input and compliance.
• Provide construction support and field data collection.
