Job summary

Hargrove Engineers is seeking a senior civil/structural engineer in Houston, TX to lead complex design projects from concept to construction. You will develop layouts, perform calculations, review vendor drawings, and coordinate with drafting teams to deliver complete engineering packages.

Ideal candidates have a BS/MS in Civil Engineering, PE preferred, 10+ years of industrial experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation. The role includes competitive compensation and full benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional Engineer registration preferred.
10+ years of relevant civil/structural industrial experience.
Strong knowledge of IBC and industry standards (ASCE/AISC/ACI).
Experience coordinating with drafting teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

Lead complex civil/structural design assignments from concept through construction.
Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to determine efficient approaches.
Produce estimate-level prelim designs and material take-offs.
Check calculations for accuracy and conformity to codes and design criteria.
Coordinate with design leaders and drafting groups to issue complete packages.
