Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. in Pasadena, TX seeks a Structural Engineer to perform all aspects of civil/structural design for varied projects. You will work under supervision and collaborate with draftsmen and engineers to deliver compliant drawings and calculations.

The ideal candidate has a B.S./M.S. in Civil Engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and PE registration is preferred. Proficiency in STAAD Pro, RAM, RISA, AutoCAD, and Revit is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in civil/structural engineering.
• Knowledge of IBC and related standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI).
• Experience with structural analysis software and drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil/structural design tasks under supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts, preliminary designs, and material take-offs.
• Produce detailed design calculations and drawings for construction.
• Check calculations and assist drafting for project deliverables.
• Coordinate with design leaders and other disciplines.
• Lead small to medium size teams on structural tasks.
