Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors in California seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer with 3+ years of relevant experience to design, analyze, and lead projects from concept to detail. You will work under supervision, ensure compliance with IBC and standards, and mentor drafting staff while coordinating inter-discipline inputs.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation and MS Office is expected, with strong communication skills and a collaborative, safety‑mocused mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
• Structural coursework is required for structural engineering positions.
• Registration: Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years in civil/structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete civil/structural designs under supervision.
• Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
• Produce design calculations and sketches for construction materials.
• Review vendor drawings and submittals for conformance to specs.
• Provide technical guidance to junior drafting/engineering personnel.
• Lead small to medium teams coordinating civil/structural efforts.
