Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Subject Matter Expert in our Data Center team to lead structural engineering across a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will drive technical direction, mentor staff, and ensure robust, code-compliant designs while coordinating with clients and project teams.

You’ll work in a heavily client-facing capacity, shaping design delivery, navigating contracts, and contributing to the next generation of high-performance data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer license or ability to become licensed in additional states.
• Extensive experience with structural design of data center facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex structural analyses, select appropriate design methods.
• Provide quality reviews for complex projects.
• Mentor junior and senior staff and coordinate with clients and management.
• Guide project execution and design strategy within Design-Build delivery.
