Jacobs seeks a senior subject matter expert in the Data Center team to lead structural engineering across a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will guide technical direction, mentor engineers, and coordinate with clients and management to deliver high-performance designs.
The role blends technical authority with client-facing leadership, enabling collaboration across teams and shaping the next generation of high-performance data center infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
- 15+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
- Registered Professional Engineer with ability to become licensed in additional states.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, S3D).
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (RISA, RamSS, STAAD).
Responsibilities
- Provide quality reviews of complex projects.
- Lead complex structural analyses and select appropriate methodologies.
- Develop and validate advanced structural computer models; mentor team members in best practice simulation techniques.
- Oversee calculations for member design and foundations; manage schedules, design docs, and interdisciplinary coordination.
