Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert in our Data Center team to lead structural engineering efforts across a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will mentor teams, guide design strategy, and coordinate with clients and upper management to ensure alignment with delivery goals.
You will play a key technical leadership role, directing design, analysis, and governance while collaborating across disciplines and locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer and ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software: AutoCad, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering efforts across data center projects (new builds and retrofits).
- Mentor structural leads and coordinate with project teams and clients.
- Communicate technical direction and ensure design solutions meet performance and constructability standards.
- Provide quality reviews of complex projects and oversee critical calculations and modeling.
