Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior subject matter expert in our Data Center team to lead structural engineering across a portfolio of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will drive technical direction, mentor teams, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-performance, constructible designs.

This role is highly client-facing, requiring clear communication, deep engineering expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects and contracts while upholding

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• PE license or ability to obtain license within locale.
• 15+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Experience with data center projects preferred.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering across data center projects.
• Guide technical direction and ensure constructability.
• Mentor junior and senior staff.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
