Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design teams across diverse projects including power, healthcare, and industrial facilities. You will guide the design through construction, ensuring conformance to codes and client needs, while mentoring junior engineers.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, QA/QC, and effective communication with field teams and clients, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related ABET program with 7 years structural engineering experience (EPC preferred).
• Alternative: ABET degree in Structural/related field with FE and 7 years experience (EPC preferred).
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering with 6 years experience (EPC preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design from concept through design completion.
• Review vendor drawings and interface with suppliers, clients, and other disciplines.
• Oversee project schedule, scope, budget, staffing, and change orders.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of drawings and construction administration with field coordination.
• Lead development of technical reports and presentations for clients.
