Job summary

Stantec in Chandler, AZ is seeking an experienced structural engineering professional to join our team. You will work on heavy industrial projects, including underground and surface mining infrastructure, applying Revit and AutoCAD to develop design deliverables.

The role requires 6–12 years in engineering or industrial settings, strong teamwork, and mentoring abilities. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Graduate of Technical or College Course in Design/Drafting.
6 to 12 years of experience in engineering consulting or the construction industry.
At least 6 years of experience in the industrial consulting industry or an industrial environment.
Experience support underground or surface mining projects strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Understand and apply the Stantec Safety Culture and health and safety rules for Stantec and its clients.
Perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks for a wide variety of projects.
Complete project deliverables on budget and schedule.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project teams to produce quality design deliverables.
Support projects involving underground and surface mining infrastructure, shaft and headframe design, material handling, and other heavy industrial facilities.
Work with Engineers and Junior Designers on fit-for-purpose designs that meet client needs.
Provide coaching and mentoring to designers as part of professional development.
Conduct QA/QC on own projects within Stantec's quality control guidelines.
Attend project coordination meetings and travel to local sites as needed.
