Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Structural Designer for our Chandler, AZ office. You will develop and coordinate structural Revit models and related documents for mining sector projects, reporting to the Structural Design Supervisor.

You’ll work with a multi-disciplinary team to convey structural requirements to the construction team, create models and 2D drawings, and ensure quality across disciplines and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy steel and concrete structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with mining facilities and infrastructure design.
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
• Experience leading a team of Designers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficient in 3D modeling using Revit and producing high-quality structural models/drawings to a defined LOD.
• Strong understanding of structural model and electronic document quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Create, coordinate, and manage structural models and documents for projects.
• Collaborate with discipline leads to define intent and content of models/drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and contractors to resolve clashes.
• Perform QA/QC for constructability and completeness.
• Lead or support coordination of remote office design work.
• Attend project meetings and help resolve cross-disciplinary issues.
