Job summary

Stantec's Energy and Resources Delivery Center seeks a Structural Designer to contribute to underground and surface mining projects, shaft design, and material handling. You will join a remotely connected team, collaborating with engineers and designers to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient structures for facilities worldwide.

Ideal candidates have 6–12 years in engineering consulting or industrial environments, strong Revit/AutoCAD skills, and experience with BIM tools.

Qualifications

Graduate of Technical or College Course in Design/Drafting.
6–12 years of experience in engineering consulting or the construction industry.
Experience in industrial environments and knowledge of mining projects preferred.
Strong understanding of design concepts and structural design.

Responsibilities

Understand and implement Stantec Safety Culture requirements and health & safety guidelines.
Perform modeling, drafting and structural design tasks for diverse projects.
Complete project deliverables on budget and schedule.
Collaborate with engineers, designers and project teams to produce quality deliverables.
Support mining infrastructure, shaft and headframe design, material handling, and heavy industrial facilities.
Lead junior designers and mentor team members.
Provide coaching and professional development guidance.
Conduct QA/QC on own projects per guidelines.
Attend project coordination meetings and travel to local sites.
