Job summary

Stantec in the United States is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our Energy and Resources team. You will develop and coordinate mechanical models and documents for mining facilities, using Revit, Plant 3D, Autodesk Forma, and other 3D tools.

You’ll collaborate with engineers and project managers, lead design reviews, mentor junior designers, and ensure drawings meet drafting standards. This role requires industrial/mining experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Industrial or mining environment experience required.
• BIM360 / Autodesk Forma experience preferred.
• Proficient in Autodesk software: AutoCAD, Revit, Plant 3D, Inventor, Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete mechanical design and documentation packages.
• Deliver 3D models and 2D drawings for large and small projects.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers across disciplines.
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior designers.
• Provide material estimates to support procurement and estimating.
