Job summary
Stantec in Chandler, AZ seeks a BIM/CAD Project Design Lead to drive design delivery and digital execution for underground and surface mining projects. You will establish BIM/CAD workflows, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor designers, while ensuring high-quality model content and documentation.
You will collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and the Mining Digital Delivery team to implement standards, improve templates, and support project delivery across platforms such as
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent required.
- 7+ years in engineering design, BIM/CAD, or digital project delivery.
- Experience with BIM/CAD standards implementation is essential.
- Mining, heavy industrial, or infrastructure project experience preferred.
- Mentoring junior designers and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Set up projects using established BIM/CAD standards and templates.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to define workflows and deliverables.
- Lead design production, model development, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Prepare 3D models and detailed drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- Support BIM/CAD content creation and continuous workflow improvement.
