Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an experienced structural designer to lead the design of primary and secondary structures for aerospace hardware. You will define configurations, create 3D models and ICDs, and collaborate across materials, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet performance and cost targets.

The role requires a BS in engineering and 8+ years of experience with aerospace structures, GD&T, and CAD tools such as Creo/Windchill. U.S.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering required with 8+ years of relevant structures experience.
• Experience on aerospace/launch vehicle structures and load paths.
• Strong mechanical design and integration skills using CAD.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of primary and secondary structures for aerospace hardware.
• Define overall structural configuration and interfaces to meet requirements.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and ICDs.
• Support trade studies and design maturation from concept to production.
• Collaborate with materials, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Ensure designs meet structural, thermal, and manufacturing constraints.
