Blue Origin LLC in Greater Seattle area seeks a Senior Structures Design Engineer for the Lunar Permanence program. You will design, analyze, develop and test primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic parts, and support integration with manufacturing.

This role requires 7+ years in aerospace structures, strong CAD skills (Creo), GD&T, and experience with structural analysis tools. You will work with NASA and partners to develop flight hardware, create test plans, and

Qualifications

B.S. degree in engineering required.
7+ years in structures for aerospace or automotive vehicles.
Structural design of metallic components and assemblies.
Vehicle load path distribution and first-order strength sizing.
Material selection, compatibility and manufacturing techniques.
Strong mechanical design and integration using 3D CAD.
Familiar with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

Design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures (composites and metallic parts).
Create 3D models, detail drawings, assemblies, interfaces, and ICDs.
Provide manufacturing and production support for hardware.
Support integration and configuration development.
Plan and perform tests, review data, and report status.
Collaborate with materials and manufacturing teams to produce flight hardware.
