Blue Origin in Washington state seeks a Senior Structures Engineer for the Lunar Permanence team, focusing on analysis of aerospace structures for Blue Moon landers. You will perform hand calculations and FEM analyses, and drive resolution of manufacturing nonconformances, ensuring design integrity.

You will document stress analyses for release of drawings, assess damage or out-of-tolerance conditions, and advise repairs, while guiding cross‑functional teams on cost-effective, safe structural

Qualifications

• Bachelor-degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in aircraft/spacecraft/launch-vehicle structures.
• Experience analyzing and dispositioning non-conformances.
• Complete hand calculations.

Responsibilities

• Detailed hand calculations and FEM analyses for secondary aerospace structures.
• Drive hardware discrepancies to resolution; disposition manufacturing nonconformances.
• Document stress analyses to support drawings release.
• Assess damage or out-of-tolerance conditions and advise repairs.
• Provide technical guidance on design concepts balancing risk, cost, and performance.
• Support cross-organizational teams with production inputs.
• Improve analysis processes and automate model creation and reporting.
