Job summary
LVI Associates is seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer to lead design and delivery of bridge and transportation projects. You will guide technical decisions, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff within our employee-owned transportation practice.
The role emphasizes client development, proposal support, and quality control while advancing complex projects from concept to construction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida required or actively pursuing licensure.
- Minimum 8 years of bridge design experience with strong knowledge of structural analysis.
- Experience with FDOT bridge design standards preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and preparation of plans, specs, and estimates for bridge projects.
- Perform structural analysis and design of bridge/ highway structures.
- Review shop drawings and provide engineering support during construction.
- Coordinate design efforts with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project development.
- Mentor and support the growth of junior engineers and designers.
- Assist with project pursuits, proposals, and client relationship management.
- Support project management activities, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
