Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst with ANSYS Workbench expertise to ensure the structural integrity of BE-4 turbomachinery hardware. You will perform advanced FEM analyses, construct free body diagrams, and assess non-conformances under strict safety and performance standards.

Collaborating with design and cross-disciplinary teams, you will drive design modifications and integrate flight response data into life assessments. Relocation is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifikationen

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data and recommendations.
• Experience reviewing technical drawings and providing structural input for designs.
• Proven expertise in ANSYS Workbench and strength, fatigue, fracture (NASGRO), modal and random vibration analysis.
• Ability to adapt analysis to non-conforming hardware and justify production flight decisions.
• Adept in constructing free body diagrams for structural evaluations.

Aufgaben

• ANSYS Workbench analyses for strength, fatigue, fracture, modal and random vibration of turbomachinery hardware.
• Construct and interpret free body diagrams to analyze structural challenges.
• Assess non-conformances on BE-4 main turbopump components with blue origin standards.
• Review spin-start component and assembly drawings for design compliance.
• Propose design modifications based on analysis to improve performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with design, project management and other disciplines to integrate structural considerations.
• Incorporate flight responses from Dynamic Environment & System teams into evaluations and life assessments.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
