Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a structural analyst with a strong background in FEA and classical strength methods to support the Blue Ring structures and mechanisms integrated product team. You will perform finite element analyses and hand calculations for strength checks on orbital vehicle structures, working with design engineers to optimize weight, strength and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil).
• 3+ years of vehicle structures or mechanisms analysis experience.
• Strong knowledge of classical strength methods and FEM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEA and hand calculations for strength checks on orbital vehicle structures.
• Collaborate with design engineers to optimize weight, strength and manufacturability.
• Document structural analysis for engineering drawings and formal docs.
• Provide technical guidance balancing risk, cost and performance.
• Maintain activity schedule, budget, and technical status.
• Support configuration development and trade studies with input from multiple teams.
