Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Structural Analyst III to own the structural analysis, testing, and qualification of mechanical and fluid component systems for spaceflight hardware. Qualifikationen

• B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years in aerospace structural analysis for components or launch vehicles.
• Proficient with FEA codes: Nastran, Optistruct, Ansys, Abaqus.
• Experience with fatigue analysis (S-N) for metallic aerospace components.
• Experience with testing and qualification activities.
• Knowledge of Bruhn, Roark's Formulas is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform detailed hand calculations and FE analysis of primary and secondary aerospace components.
• Conduct structural analysis of mechanical systems including umbilical systems, quick disconnects, valves, regulators, and actuators.
• Support NSSL certification activities including risk closure and structural qualification gap assessments.
• Document stress analysis to support release of drawings and docs.
• Develop and substantiate dispositions for structural nonconformances with analytic justification.
• Support cross-functional teams with inputs for configuration development and trade studies.
• Improve enterprise analysis capabilities by developing process automation tools for model creation and reports generation.
• Collaborate effectively with team members from various disciplines and manufacturing.
