Qualifications

• BS, MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years experience with a BS, 5+ with MS, or 3+ with PhD.
• Proficient in finite element stress analysis with ANSYS and SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of solid, fracture, and fatigue mechanics.
• Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and related standards.
• Seismic analysis experience per ASCE 4/43 is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with QA standards like ISO-9000 or NQA-1 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical analyses of reactor structures and components to verify performance per codes and standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize nuclear components design.
• Document analysis results and design solutions.
• Conduct peer reviews to maintain QA standards.
• Assist the team managers and mentor engineers as needed.
• Serve as a technical point of contact for focus tasks.
