Job summary

Johnson Service Group (JSG) seeks a Nuclear Component Analysis Mechanical Engineer to perform design and stress analyses for NSSS components in compliance with ASME BPVC III and NRC guidelines. The role emphasizes ANSYS FE analyses, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of full-time relevant engineering experience.
• Extensive experience using ANSYS to perform stress analysis per ASME BPVC III.
• Experience with ASME BPVC Section III, NB/NG/NF.
• Experience with seismic/dynamic analysis preferred.
• DOE 10 CFR Part 810 eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and stress analyses of pressure vessels, reactor internals, and primary supports per ASME BPVC III and NRC guidelines.
• Conduct advanced finite element analyses using ANSYS and CAD tools as needed.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to NSSS Component Analysis staff.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate design activities and resolve issues.
• Develop training qualifications and maintain QA compliance.
• Lead NSSS Component Analysis Group with technical direction.
