Job summary

System One is seeking a Senior Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer for a long-term, fully remote contract. This role requires extensive experience with safety analysis codes and regulatory licensing processes.

The candidate will perform transient analyses, develop analytical models, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and compliance for nuclear designs. Must have 15+ years in the nuclear field and be legally authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in nuclear engineering with 15+ years in the nuclear field.
• Extensive knowledge of safety analysis codes SAS4A/SASSYS-1, GOTHIC, RELAP5, TRACE, MELCOR, MACCS, RADTRAD or equivalent.
• Direct experience with US NRC licensing methodology and topical reports.

Responsibilities

• Analyze design and licensing basis events for safety.
• Develop mechanistic source terms and assess radiological releases.
• Support transient and accident analyses for SFR program and related projects.
