We are seeking a Senior Managing Director to join our Strategic Advisory Group, bringing deep experience in operational turnarounds and financial restructurings, including bankruptcy contexts, to lead high-stakes client engagements. The role requires strategic thinking, plan development, and execution under crisis conditions, with oversight of multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• 20+ years of experience in turnaround and restructuring.
• Ability to cross-sell JS Held services to referral sources.
• Ability to delegate and lead multiple projects; mentor staff.
• Bachelor’s degree; JD or MBA is a plus.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail.
• Experienced in chaotic environments to achieve goals.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy.
• Willingness to travel to clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational turnaround management and financial restructuring engagements.
• Provide expertise in investment banking, valuation, litigation support and asset disposition roles for our clients.
• Manage and lead teams of JS Held personnel.
• Lead interaction with client teams, shareholders, lenders and other stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Work under stress in crisis situations with limited resources and tight deadlines.
• Support business development efforts to cultivate referral sources and drive revenue opportunities.
• Collaborate to develop go-to-market strategies for revenue growth.
• Provide support in ad-hoc tasks as requested.
