Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Strategic Program Lead within GFCO to own complex compliance programs end-to-end and drive cross-functional execution across Compliance Tech, EAA, Ops, WFM, Analytics and Legal. Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience, with 3+ years in financial crimes compliance.
• Proven ability to drive large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs in regulated environments.
• Deep AML/CFT program operations knowledge including SAM/TMS, EDD, Screening, and SAR workflows.
• Experience navigating Known Problem / Unknown Solution environments with constraints.
• Strong strategy and storytelling abilities with roadmaps and charters for Director+ audiences.
• Track record of driving operational efficiency and cost savings through automation with measured outcomes.
• Proficiency in program tools (Asana, Jira, Smartsheet) and data tools (Looker, Snowflake, Google Sheets).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to influence Directors+.
• Bachelor's degree; fields of study in Business, Technology, Operations, Finance, Law, or related.
• References required (mandatory for L5+ roles).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program strategy, planning, and execution for GFCO areas (e.g., SAM automation, EDD volume reduction).
• Develop charters, roadmaps, and governance for long-tail, multi-constraint programs.
• Lead cross-functional delivery across XFN teams and drive alignment at Director+ level.
• Translate regulatory obligations and model performance signals into actionable program strategies.
• Support launch readiness for new products, jurisdictions, and entity expansions.
• Proactively identify and resolve program risks and justify trade-offs to GFCO leadership.
• Drive cost savings projections across automation initiatives with verified outcomes.
• Own intake discipline and ensure formal requirements/testing plans.
• Author and maintain strategy/decision documents for Director/VP-level decisions.
• Maintain feedback loop between automation outputs and QC findings.
• Lead major incident responses within GFCO for lookback events.
