Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Strategic Program Lead (GFCO, L5) to own end-to-end compliance programs, drive governance, and coordinate with cross-functional teams across Compliance Tech, EAA, Ops, and Legal. You will shape strategy, manage external stakeholders, and ensure readiness for new jurisdictions and product launches.

The role requires 6+ years in program management with AML/BC/CFT experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver scalable, regulated initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience, with 3+ years in financial crimes compliance
• Demonstrated ability to independently drive large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs in a regulated environment
• Deep understanding of AML/CFT program operations, including SAM/TMS, EDD, Screening, and SAR filing workflows, and the technology landscape that supports them (e.g., TMS, CMS)
• Experience navigating Known Problem / Unknown Solution environments with many constraints
• Strong strategy and storytelling skills for Director+ audiences
• Track record of driving operational efficiency and cost savings through automation programs

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program strategy, planning, and execution for one or more complex GFCO areas
• Develop and drive program charters, roadmaps, and governance frameworks
• Lead cross-functional delivery across XFN teams and drive alignment at Director+ level
• Translate regulatory obligations and model signals into actionable program strategies
• Support launch readiness for new products, jurisdictions, and entity expansions
• Identify and resolve program risks and provide transparent trade-off recommendations
• Drive cost savings projections across automation initiatives with verified outcomes
• Own intake discipline for the program area with documented requirements
• Author and maintain high-quality strategy documents for decision-making
• Manage feedback loop between automation outputs and investigator feedback
• Lead major responses within GFCO during critical events
