Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Strategic Program Lead (GFCO) to own end-to-end compliance programs across SAM, EDD, and screening initiatives.

You will partner with Compliance Tech, EAA, Ops, WFM, Analytics, and Legal to translate regulatory obligations into scalable programs and ensure readiness for launches and regulatory examinations. The role requires 6+ years in program management and AML/financial crime experience, with strong storytelling, governance, and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

6+ years of program or project management experience, with 3+ years in financial crimes compliance, AML, BSA/AML operations, or a related regulatory domain.
Independently drive large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs in a regulated environment with minimal guidance.
Deep understanding of AML/CFT program operations including SAM/TMS, EDD, Screening, and SAR workflows and supporting tech.
Experience navigating Known Problem / Unknown Solution environments with constraints.
Strong strategy and storytelling skills for Director+ audiences.
Track record of driving operational efficiency and cost savings through automation with measurable outcomes.
Proficiency in program management tools (Asana, Jira, Smartsheet) and data tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management; comfortable at Director/VP level.
References required (mandatory for L5+ roles).

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end program strategy, planning, and execution for complex GFCO areas.
Develop and drive program charters, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
Lead cross-functional delivery and align with Director+ level.
Translate regulatory obligations into actionable program strategies.
Support launch readiness for new products, jurisdictions, and expansions.
Identify and resolve program risks and trade-offs for GFCO leadership.
Drive cost savings projections across automation initiatives with confirmed actuals.
Manage intake for automation requests with documented requirements.
Author and maintain strategy documents (P/PSs, RAPIDs, charters).
Lead responses during major lookback events or regulatory deadlines.
