Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Strategic Program Lead (L5) to own end-to-end GFCO programs, partnering across Compliance Tech, EAA, Ops, WFM, and Legal. You will drive roadmaps, governance, and regulatory alignment while guiding cross-functional teams and external parties.

You will shape strategy, manage charters, and deliver tangible automation and efficiency gains, reporting to GFCO leadership in a remote-friendly, hybrid setup with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in program or project management, with 3+ years in financial crimes compliance or regulated domains.
• Ability to independently drive large multi-stakeholder programs in a regulated environment.
• Deep AML/CFT program operations knowledge and related technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program strategy, planning, and execution for GFCO areas.
• Develop charters, roadmaps, and governance for long-tail programs with external commitments.
• Lead cross-functional delivery and align with Director+ stakeholders.
• Translate regulatory obligations into prioritized program strategies using a rule-based framework.
• Support launch readiness for new products, jurisdictions, and entity expansions.
• Identify and resolve program risks and communicate trade-offs to leadership.
• Drive cost-saving projections across automation initiatives and report actuals.
• Manage intake channels for automation requests with documented requirements.
• Create strategy documents (P/PSs, RAPIDs, charters) for Director/VP decisions.
• Maintain feedback loops between automation outputs, QC, and investigator input.
