Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr Sterile Processing Technician to maintain high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilization of surgical instruments for Surgical Services and the OR. The role emphasizes safety, quality and timely delivery of sterile products.

This on-site position requires CRCST or CSPDT certification, two years of experience, and strong customer service. Shift is Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to 5:30pm; non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be certified in Sterile Processing (CRCST or CSPDT).
• Two years of sterile processing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilization of instruments.
• Ensure timely sterile products, trays and case carts for OR and Surgical Services.
• Maintain workflow between OR and Sterile Processing.
• Follow safety and PPE protocols and document activities.
