Job summary

THOR Solutions is seeking an Engineering Technician VI (Gas Turbine Engines) to provide full-time, onsite support for US Naval gas turbine systems at SWRMC in San Diego, CA. You will troubleshoot, inspect, and train Ship's Force to enhance fleet readiness and self-sufficiency.

Requires 10+ years of naval mechanical experience, vibration analysis skills, and the ability to obtain/maintain required security clearances. Travel up to 10% may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in operation, repair, maintenance and assessment of naval mechanical components and engine controllers for gas turbine propulsion and generators.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite and surge support for gas turbine equipment.
• Perform inspections, vibration analyses and assessments on shipboard systems.
• Deliver Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians.
• Coordinate and perform Vibration Condition Assessments (VCA) on US Navy ships.
• Analyze inspection data and recommend repairs or replacements.
