THOR Solutions, LLC is seeking an Engineering Technician VI (Gas Turbine Engines) with Navy shipboard experience for full-time support at SWRMC, San Diego, CA. You will troubleshoot, inspect, and support maintenance on gas turbine systems and train ship's force to improve fleet readiness.

The role requires extensive experience, certification readiness, and the ability to operate in shipboard and inland environments, with up to 10% travel and security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vibration Institute Training Level 1 Certification preferred.
• Marine Gas Turbine Inspector (MGTI) certification is required or obtainable within 365 days.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office for reports and data handling.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite support and surge support for Code 261 gas turbine equipment.
• Perform Marine Gas Turbine inspections on listed Navy ships.
• Conduct vibration analysis and assessments onboard ships and in office environments.
• Observe operations with ship's force and perform adjustments/repairs as needed.
• Provide Onboard Maintenance Training (OBMT) to Ship's Force technicians.
• Plan and perform Vibration Condition Assessments (VCA) on Navy ships.
• Analyze complex gas turbine problems and provide repair recommendations when needed.
• Prepare and submit reports within two working days of task completion.

Education
