Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Sr. Station Leader to own budgetary, people development and operations objectives for an Amazon Logistics Delivery Station, leading a team of Operations, Area and Shift Managers.

You will coach and mentor staff, drive safety, quality and performance, and partner with DSPs and cross-functional teams to meet the business plan while building leadership bench strength within the DS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years’ direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, last-mile manufacturing, engineering, production or distribution.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering performance and financial results in high-pressure environments.
• Experience with performance metrics and lean techniques.
• Experience with full lifecycle staffing, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
• Strong analytical capability; ability to analyze data and solve operational problems.
• Excellent communication skills (local language and English, written and verbal).
• Experience managing third party resources on a regional/national scale.
• Experience managing contingent workforce during peak seasons.
• Candidates must be flexible to work various hours including overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for all delivery station operations.
• Drives vision for station team and creation of lean and quality initiatives to meet the business plan.
• Problem-solves gaps between performance and goals.
• Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations for Operations, Area and Shift Managers; measures performance and provides feedback.
• Manages day-to-day relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
• Presents operational metrics to senior leadership on a regular basis.
• Hires and develops top talent; creates a talent plan for the site including acquisition, performance and career development.
• Leverages managers to source ideas and build improvement plans for the function.
• Cultivates strong culture and engagement across the delivery station team.
• Shares best practices across departments, shifts and the network.
• Collaborates with Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering to secure resources and support projects.
