Job summary

Lyft is seeking a senior technical leader to design, own, and scale the Global Support Platform. You will set architecture direction, drive AI-enabled workflows, and guide a team of engineers to deliver scalable backend systems in a remote Ukraine-based role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with backend systems
• Experience setting technical direction for a product or platform area
• Deep expertise in designing and operating distributed systems—microservices, event-driven architectures, high-throughput APIs
• Strong proficiency in backend languages (Python, Go, Java, C#, or similar) and performance considerations
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proven ability to lead engineers, set standards, run reviews, and unblock execution
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to align cross-functional partners
