Job summary

Robinhood is hiring a Senior Staff Software Security Engineer to build and secure the company’s AI and agentic infrastructure. You’ll own end-to-end security systems across authentication, cryptography, and cloud security, driving key initiatives with a bias for high-impact, scalable solutions.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup with in-person collaboration in Bellevue, WA or Menlo Park, CA, designing systems that scale and integrating security into production workflows.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software or security engineering experience at Senior Staff or Principal level.
• Deep expertise in IAM, authentication, cryptography, cloud security (AWS), or infrastructure security.
• Hands-on experience securing AI infrastructure, LLMs, agentic systems, or AI-adjacent authentication challenges.
• Proficiency in Go and/or Python for backend security platforms.
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals in multi-team production environments.
• Ability to identify high-impact technical problems independently without top-down direction.

Responsibilities

• Identify and own high-leverage security problems across authentication, identity infra, cloud security, cryptography, and AI security.
• Design and ship end-to-end security solutions for AI/agentic infrastructure at scale.
• Build intelligent internal platforms using AI to improve detection, vulnerability finding, and coverage.
• Partner with engineering managers to set priorities and align cross-cutting investments.
• Stay close to production; ensure architectural decisions reflect real-system behavior at scale.
